Mmm, grapes!

My house smelled like Grape Koolaid for much of Saturday. Having recently taken possession of a large number of Grape packets I decided to put some to use and find out what sort of purple would emerge. Turns out that a very nice purple emerges!

That looks gorgeous - I am so glad 'grape' was on my shopping list when I placed my order on your Etsy store yesterday!
If you spun that it is just fantastic - if not it is still to dye for!!!

Unfortunately I didn't spin it - sock yarn spinning is still on my list of "I need to learn how to do that"s. But the dyeing is very very fun!

It's so much fun dyeing with koolaid, and always smells great, it's where I started when I started dyeing fibre, that's a great grape colour but how many packets did you use?

Hi Jo,

I ended up using three packets. I used two at first but I'd tied the skein too tightly and had been left with a couple of white spots, so I moved the ties and redyed it with a third pack.

That's a pretty purple! I love the smell of dyeing with Koolaid, last batch I did ended up smelling of a mix of strawberries and wool :)
